getting to the roots.
I guess this is a like a digital Airbnb (minus the unnecessary fees).
Blooming Hurts
Blooming Hurts
In Blooming Hurts, a collection of poetry & prose for the soul/soil, I invite you on an intimate journey through my garden — delving into childhood, love, self-discovery, self-acceptance, healing, and fresh starts. I hope that my words serve as a testament to the transformative power of vulnerability, reminding you that although blooming hurts, it makes our petals all the more worth it.
“I just reread through your book and I literally get chills because it was just so beautifully written. Truly God's gift girl. Just so relatable and comforting to feel seen and understood through someone else's words.”
I’ve witnessed firsthand how much hiding has hindered me and how shrinking myself often manifests into shrunken and lukewarm experiences.
we don’t have to have it figured out all the way because we’ll figure it out on the way.
Why do I keep viewing my unconventionality/authenticity as something that needs to be tamed or changed?
to be clothed in surrender, adorned by patience, and exuding favor — dang, I look good. I have to do a double-take. These are the true designer pieces.
cremation doesn't mean I’m erasing what I lived but that I’m just choosing to embrace a new life.
how long are you gonna hold on to the hells that are hindering you, hurting you, and holding you back?
There’s no need to try to figure it all out on our own or have all the answers today. Isn’t that what God is for?
I’m craving a clean slate and trying not to focus too much on the future as a form of escape.
does the caterpillar know that it’s signing up to eventually transform into a butterfly?

SOUL FOOD
(it’s like if a newsletter, blog, & instagram photo dump had a baby.)
in a world that moves so fast, sometimes we need a soft place to land. a place that provides sustenance and substance. a place to connect, slow down, unpack, reflect, express, and be nourished on a soul level.
being from the South, the concept of soul food has always resonated with me. the love you can taste in every bite. the warmth, the comfort, the flavors, the colors. *chefs kiss* I aspire to create that same sense of warmth, comfort, and safety here as I share my journey and experiences with you. don’t be shy, go ahead and grab your plate.
integrity is more than just telling the truth. it’s about living our truth as well.
